What We Believe

Doctrines of the Bible

1.  All have sinned (Romans 3:23)

2.  Christ died for our sins (Romans 5:19)

3.  Christ commands all men to repent of their sins (Mark 2:17)

4.  Repentence and faith are the first steps toward God (Hebrews 11:16)

5.  Remission of sins comes through the name of Jesus (Luke 24:45-57; Romans 6:3-6)

6.  Baptism in Jesus' name is the mode by which sins are remitted (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:16; Acts 22:16)

7.  The baptism of the Holy Ghost is for us today (Acts2:1-4; Acts 10:44-48; Romans 8:9-11)

8.  The Oneness of God (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:30; John 14:8-27)

9.  The Church is Christ's body in the earth today (Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 1:23; Ephesians 4:12)

10.  Christ shall return for His Church (Acts 1:11; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Luke 12:40)

What is Pentecost?

The word Pentecost derives from the Greek word for the fiftieth day and was a Jewish feast called Feast of Harvest, fifty days after passover.  It was during passover that Jesus Christ partook of what is commonly call the Last Supper, in which He revealed to His disciples that He had come to this earth to become the sacrificial Lamb to be slain for the sins of the world.  It was by this sacrifice at Calvary that salvation was purchased, by His own blood. (1 Corinthians 11:25-27; Hebrews 9:12-15)

After three days in the earth, Jesus Christ rose from the dead, victorious over death, hell, and the grave, leaving to you and I a promise.  That promise came to pass on the Day of Pentecost.  In Acts chapter two, when the waiting disciples received the Holy Ghost, the Apostle Peter proclaimed: this is that which was prophesied by the prophet Joel; in the last day, saith God, I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh.  When the crowd which was in Jerusalem heard Peter's message, they were pricked in their hearts and replied, what shall we do?  (Acts 2:37)

Peter then proclaimed the salvation message; Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  (Acts 2:38)

This salvation experience is a life changing experience that is still real today.
